Joanne Mae Page Hanson was born December 31, 1941 to Edward Page and Gladys Metcalf at Choate Memorial Hospital in Woburn, Massachusetts. She spent her life in Massachusetts and then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. She married and had two children Janet and Jeff. They later divorced. She moved to California in the mid 60's and began work at Continental Airlines as a computer programmer in Flight control and that is where she met her soul mate and love of her life, Kenneth Lee Hanson. She became a grandmother in 1977 to Justin from Janet. She married her true love December 3, 1977 in El Segundo, California where 3 daughters were added to her family - Amy, Cheryl, and Diane. They honeymooned on the infamous Queen Mary in Long Beach. Jody and Ken lived in El Segundo and then moved to Denver in 1985 and lived there for 35 years. They lived a year in Florida, hated it, then moved back here to Denver where they spent the rest of their lives. Jody enjoyed being a housewife to her husband, and spent time crocheting blankets for babies in the OB department at Littleton Hospital. She enjoyed crafts, shopping, gardening, cooking, and took classes in cake decorating. She enjoyed traveling to Europe, London, Hawaii. Ken and Jody always flew to Phoenix then to whatever destination they chose. Jody had additional grandchildren who were Chance from Jeff, L J and Joanna from Janet, Jamy, Daniel, and Kimberly from Amy, and Spencer, Cameron and David from Cheryl. She also was a great grandmother initially from Justin who gave her Emily. She was followed by other great-grandchildren from L J with great granddaughters Isabel and Vanessa and from Joanna she had Ashton and Beckham and also from Chance had Howell and Eleanor. She became ill 2 weeks ago and passed away on May 21st, 2019 surrounded by her loving husband of 41 years and the many caretakers at Littleton Hospital who grew to love her over the years.
