Linda Zimmerman was born to Bessie and Sherman Haas on February 7, 1950 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She attended school and graduated from Shelby Tennant High School in 1968. Linda found the love of her life when she met Del Zimmerman. They were united in marriage on November 25, 1972. To this union two children were born, Shane and Karen.
Linda loved staying home raising her children while sharing her love of playing the piano. She was the organist at the Shelby Methodist Church for decades as well as taught piano lessons in her home. She played for many weddings & funerals over several years. She also was the accompanist for the Tri Center Schools music program for many years and enjoyed getting to know all the young kids. After the passing of her husband, she returned to school at IWCC for the medical coding program and then went to work for the Council Bluffs Foot & Ankle Center where she eventually retired. Linda’s favorite hobby was cross stitching, and she took great pride in making Christmas stockings for her family. She was a big fan of the Nebraska Huskers.
