Another star was added as Stacy Lynn Rock unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, having attained the age of 53 years, 3 months and 7 days. She will now be reunited with her grandparents and favorite cousin Amy Heffernan.
Stacy was born January 7, 1969 to Jim and Phyllis (Anderson) Fouts in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She lit up the halls of Dunlap Elementary and graduated from Dunlap High School with the Class of 1987. After graduation she attended Iowa Western in Council Bluffs and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Peru State College, majoring in Human Resources. Stacy was blessed with loving children: Lisa, Helen, Zach and bonus daughter Gianna.
On February 26, 2016, Stacy was joyfully united in marriage to the love of her life, Kyle Rock. Stacy and Kyle established their home in Avoca, Iowa. Stacy’s untempered humor made her the life of every gathering and a friend to everyone she met. As an avid Nebraska Husker fan, she was elated to attend the season opener in Lincoln last weekend. Kyle mentioned Stacy knew more about Huskers Football than most men. Stacy grew up playing basketball and softball. She was a competitor, and loved watching all sports. In her absence the family will miss their all time favorite meals and special baked treats. Stacy’s time was cut short to fulfill her dream job of being the all time best grandma to her grandchildren, Eva and Ivan. More than anything; they were her pride and joy. There was no keeping this music lover away from a good concert. She most recently attended and adored Cher, Bon Jovi, and Kid Rock. It was her nature to sing loud even though many times she forgot the words, or most of the time. Stacy spent the majority of her career working in Human Resources and most recently worked for Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Stacy and Kyle enjoyed golfing together and shared many great memories playing together in tournaments. She loved getting together for ladies night at the golf course every week. She will be missed for being her uniquely expressive self, with a carefree attitude, and the majority of the time a big welcoming smile and infectious laugh.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Kyle Rock of Avoca, Iowa; children Lisa (Darrian) Irlbeck of Avoca, Iowa; Helen (Trevor) Jacobsen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Zachary Stanton (special friend Asia) of Vermillion, South Dakota; Gianna Rock of New Market, Iowa; grandchildren Eva and Ivan Irlbeck of Avoca, Iowa; mother Phyllis Anderson Fouts of Dunlap, Iowa; father Jim (Peggy) Fouts of Dow City, Iowa; mother-in-law Dora Rock of Avoca, Iowa; siblings Jamie (LuAnne) Fouts of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Luke Fouts (special friend Nikki) of Dunlap, Iowa; Annie (Jeff) Cleveland of Huxley, Iowa; adored puppies Millie and Riley; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, additional extended family, all time sidekick Steph Pieken-Heller and many other friends.
