Aldine Lippold

Aldine Fay Lippold was born in Harlan, Iowa, on November 3, 1934, the oldest child of Everett and Linda Hartwig Petersen. She attended school in several towns in Iowa: Jacksonville, Corley, Irwin, Coon Rapids, and then graduated from Harlan High School with the class of 1953. She began working for Mutual of Omaha until 1962. In 1971, Aldine served as office secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, Iowa, until 1978 before returning to Mutual of Omaha, where she retired on April 30, 1993.
Aldine met Larry Lippold at a dance in Avoca and they were married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan on June 26, 1960. To this union the couple was blessed with two children: Shari Lynn and Wade Alan.
Aldine enjoyed fishing when she was younger. She also relished playing cards being a member of four card clubs in the area and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She especially enjoyed attending the activities of the grandchildren. Aldine enjoyed bus trips to both coasts with Larry and her friends. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca.
Aldine died on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, while a patient at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, having attained the age of eighty-two years, one month and seventeen days. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother George Petersen and her son, Wade, on July 27, 1985.
Aldine is survived by her husband of fifty- six years, Larry Lippold of Avoca; her daughter, Shari and her husband Steve Munyon of Avoca; granddaughters Nicole and her husband Jesse Colfack and their daughters: Jude Colfack, Novalee Hutter and Katherine Aldine Colfack of Lincoln, Nebraska; Elizabeth Munyon and Laine Munyon, both of Avoca; grandson Cody Munyon of Avoca; sisters Ardis and her husband Elliott Svendsen of Harlan; Vicki and her husband Paul Weible of Marion, Iowa; and sister-in-law Karma Petersen of Harlan; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
