Anna Loran Eggerss was born on July 28, 1998 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Alan and Sara (Toucedo) Eggerss. Anna lived all of her seventeen years of life on her family farm three miles east of Shelby with her Dad - Alan, Mom - Sara, brothers Nathan and Marshall. She was the middle child and enjoyed fighting with her brothers, as well as, cheering them on in their sporting events. She was very proud of her big brother Nathan and his Air Force Service. She showed cattle with her family and was in 4H with the Shelby Trailblazers.
Anna enjoyed talking, reading, writing quotes on walls and wood, painting on wood, and creating new things. She also was the “best” at making popcorn. She attended AHSTW and was preparing to go into her senior year. She was looking forward to attending college at either USD or ISU. At AHSTW she was in the Color Guard, played the flute in the band and was in honor band, and a manager for the football team. Anna was carefree and lived life to the fullest.
Anna died on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at the age of seventeen years and seven days. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Paul and Nadine Eggerss and Elisa Toucedo.
She is survived by her parents Alan and Sara Eggerss of Avoca, Iowa; brothers Nathan Eggerss at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas; Marshall Eggerss of Avoca; Grandfather Tomas Toucedo of Avoca, IA; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A funeral service was held for Anna on Saturday August 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the AHSTW High School Gymnasium - Avoca, Iowa. Pastor Eric Meissner of Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca presided over the service. Casket bearers were family members and friends: Timmy Barr, Tyler McGregor, Dustin Engel, Tyson Toucedo, Tomas Toucedo, Tameron McGurrin, Nathan Eggerss and Jake Freeman. Anna was laid to rest at Shelby Cemetery in Shelby, Iowa. Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.
