Anna Mae Hansen-Kramer, daughter of Joseph and Anna Marie (Mages) Krantz, was born November 9, 1930 in Dunlap, Iowa. She attended Harlan Public Schools. Anna Mae was baptized at St. Patrick’s in Dunlap, and confirmed at St. Michael’s in Harlan, Iowa, where she remained a life long member.

Anna Mae married Wesley Hansen on March 31, 1953 at St. Michael’s, and to this union, their son, David, was born. Wes passed away in July of 1984. Anna Mae married Leonard Kramer July 9, 1988. He passed away December of 2008.

Anna Mae was a waitress at Mickel’s, where she met her husband, Wes. Later in life, she was a CNA at Baptist Home, which is now Elm Crest.

Anna Mae died on August 1, 2017, attaining the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 23 days. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Wesley Eugene Hansen; husband Leonard Kramer; siblings Urban Krantz, Walt Krantz, Viola Truhe, Ruth Scheffler, Elaine Jacobs, Vincent Krantz, and Patricia Henkleman; sisters-in-law Bernice Krantz and Norma Krantz; brothers-in-law Norbert Truhe, Omer Scheffler, Earl Jacobs, and Harry Henkleman.

She is survived by her son Dave (Denise) Hansen of Harlan; step-children Joe (Janice) Kramer of Harlan; Lenny (Joyce) Kramer of Arizona; Karen (Rocket) Herning of Harlan; Ron (LuAnn) Kramer of Earling; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister Cleo (Merle) Lawyer of Harlan.
