Barbara Ruth Haley

Barbara Ruth Haley, daughter of Lemuel and Ruth (Gaba) Murray, was born on June 16, 1934, in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Barbara was baptized at the Methodist Church in Onawa, Iowa. Barbara graduated from the Onawa High School in 1952.
She graduated from the University of Omaha in 1957 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music. She worked as secretary to the administrator of the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.
On October 16, 1965, Barbara was united in marriage to Donald Haley in Omaha, Nebraska. To this union was born four sons, Randall, Douglas, Michael, and Bradley and one daughter Amy.
In 1967, Barbara and Donald moved to Denison, Iowa. She worked as a secretary until she retired in 2015 at the age of 81.
Barbara was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Denison, where she loved being a part of church, Volunteer activities, and the choir. She also enjoyed puzzles, watching movies, and sports.
Barbara passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023, attaining the age of 88 years, 6 months, and 26 days.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lemuel and Ruth Murray, her husband Donald Haley, and son Randall.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Douglas (Heather) Haley, Michael Haley, Bradley (Somer Gillett) Haley, and Amy Haley (Ron Slechta), grandchildren Ethan, Logan, and Emma Haley, Ashley (Isaac) Poolman and Brayton Haley. Brother, Richard Murray, nephews Rick (RuthAnne) Murray, and Tom Murray.
