Barbara Peters

Barbara Peters was born at Denison, Iowa, April 29, 1947, the daughter of Elmer and Luella "Lou" Dammann Hamann. She was raised in Denison, graduating from the Denison High School. Following high school she furthered her education for two years at Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts, receiving her Associative Arts Degree. On December 2, 1967, Barbara was united in marriage with Myron Peters in Denison. Their union was blessed with two children, Marc and Sarah. They made their home in Denison where Barbara was employed as a bookkeeper/secretary for Duane Wheeler, CPA, Wheeler, Woodbury and Mill CPA, Bohlmann, Inc. and, from 1974 until 2006, at First United Methodist Church. Since 2006 she had been employed at Becky?s Hallmark in Denison. In her spare time Barbara enjoyed flower gardening, collecting Coca-Cola items, Santa Claus and Christmas items and antique hunting. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Barbara died at her home in Denison with her husband at her side Wednesday, September 10, 2008. At the time of her death she had attained the age of 61 years, 4 months and 11 days. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Hamann. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband, Myron Peters of Denison, one son, Marc Peters of Ralston, Nebraska, one daughter, Sarah and husband, Keith Wulf of Fairmont, Minnesota, one granddaughter, Molly Beth Wulf of Fairmont, Minnesota, her mother, Lou Hamann of Denison, other relatives and friends.
