Betty Ann Andresen

Betty Ann Andresen was born at Denison, Iowa, July 21, 1946, the daughter of Louis A. and Margaret Hoemann Hinricksen. She was received into God’s Kingdom of Grace through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison August 25, 1946 and confirmed in her Christian Faith there March 26, 1961. She was raised on the farm near Denison and received her education in the Denison Schools from which she graduated high school with the class of 1964. Following high school she furthered her education at a business school. On January 13, 1967, Betty was united in marriage with Dwight Andresen at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. They made their home briefly in Denison before moving to California. They later resided in Oregon for ten years moving to Lafayette, Colorado in 1979. Retiring in 2009, Betty was employed for thirty years at Frasier Meadows Retirement Community in Boulder, Colorado. In her spare time she enjoyed plastic canvassing, knitting, crocheting, playing the organ and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Eternal Savior Lutheran Church in Lafayette, Colorado, her church choir and their Quilt Makers Club. She also enjoyed her membership in the Lafayette Can Do Committee. Betty died August 21, 2011, at Frasier Meadows Retirement Community in Boulder, Colorado. At the time of her death she had been blessed with 65years and one month. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Margaret Hinricksen and one brother, Robert Lee Hinricksen. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband, Dwight Andresen of Boulder, Colorado, one sister, Mary and husband, Thomas Caldwell of Midlothian, Texas, one brother, Larry Hinricksen of Denison, Iowa, one niece, Michelle Caldwell, one nephew, Michael Caldwell both of Midlothian, Texas, aunts and uncles: Helen Hester, Don and Fola Hoemann, Bonnie and Harold Segebart and Joan Hoemann all of Denison, Iowa, other relatives and friends.
