Bettye Lynn Fuhs was born on October 18, 1958, to Michael and Geraldine Brophy in Washington, D. C.
After graduating from high school, she served in the United States Air Force with the 351 Transportation Squadron, receiving an honorable discharge in August of 1984 after eight years of service.
She lived in Brandon, Florida and Harlan, Iowa and became a mother to two children: Emily and Jason.
Bettye died on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Omaha, Nebraska having attained the age of fifty-six years, four months, and seventeen days. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Molly Ann Coville.
She is survived by her daughter Emily Labenz of Harlan, Iowa; son Jason Fuhs of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren: Cameron, David, and Mia; brothers Robert Brophy of Tampa, Florida and John Coville and his wife Toni of Monroe Township, Pennsylvania; sister Laura and her husband Ken Breunig of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin; four nieces: Susan and her husband Roman Whitney, Keeley Johnson, and Savanna and Molly Ann Breunig; other family members and friends.
