Bobby Dean Stahl

Bobby Dean Stahl was born in Harlan, Iowa to Edward and Edith (Baker) Stahl on June 22, 1931. He attended the Harlan Public Schools.
On April 7, 1956, he was joined in marriage with Joyce Fountain. Four children were born to this union: Robert Craig, Penny, Kent, and Tracey.
After many years of working construction, he worked for the Shelby County Roads Department where he retired after twenty-eight years of service. Bobby loved being around his family, enjoyed going for walks, and he liked to save his money to gamble.
He died at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 having attained the age of eighty-one years, ten months, and two days. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Avnel Henry, Ellen Dobbs, Violet Loudenslager, and Lavance Carter, and brother Gaylord Stahl.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years Joyce Stahl of Harlan, Iowa; daughter Penny Anderson of Harlan, sons Craig Stahl and his wife Jean of Harlan, Kent Stahl and his wife Kelley of North Platte, Nebraska, and Tracey Stahl and his wife June of Hancock, Iowa; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother Don Stahl of Moline, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
