Brian Douglas Boje was born on May 22, 1952 in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Harold and Marian “Mary” Dinan Boje. He graduated from Kuemper High School in Carroll, Iowa with the class of 1970 and continued on to complete some college at the Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colorado.
Brian shared two children, two grandchildren, and many memories with his first wife, Karen Oatman. He found love a second time when he married Jill Sailors on August 23, 2014.
Brian worked in wood working and construction for more than forty years. He enjoyed watching football and the news, talking about the weather, playing golf, listening to country music, and hosting barbeques for friends and family. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and had an immense collection of Packer memorabilia.
Brian passed away on December 17, 2016 while a patient at North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton, Colorado, surrounded by his children, having attained the age of sixty-four years six months and twenty-five days. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Beverly Mayerhofer, Linda Arkfeld, and Barbara Landon; and his wife, Jill Boje.
Brian is survived by his two children, Amber and her husband Jonathan Groves and their children Charlie Kay and Remy Jo all of Thornton, and Tyler Boje also of Thornton; brother Scott Boje of Victoria, Texas; his first wife, Karen Oatman of Appleton, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
