Carol Ann Foxhoven, daughter of Henry Michael and Frances Marie (Kaufman) Foxhoven, was born on August 13, 1947, in Earling, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm near Earling. Carol was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in Earling and graduated from St. Joseph�s Catholic High School with the class of 1965.
Carol worked various jobs in Omaha and Norfolk, Nebraska. In 1981, Carol returned to Earling and was a care giver for her father in his later years. In December 1991, Carol moved to Harlan and this continued to be her home. While in Harlan, Carol became a member of St. Michael�s Catholic Church.
Carol enjoyed doing painting projects for Country Treasures in Harlan for a number of years. She was a very artistic person.
Carol died on Friday, April 16, 2010, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, having attained the age of sixty-two years, eight months, and three days. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Richard and Celestin.
She is survived by her siblings: Betty Ann Noonan of Columbus, Nebraska; Sr. Charlita Foxhoven, OSF of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Arlene and her husband William Rolf of Fullerton, Nebraska; Janet Fielder of Omaha, Nebraska; and Shirley and her husband Don Herbst of Earling, Iowa; her sister-in-law Sharon Foxhoven of Algona, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; other family members and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at St. Michael�s Catholic Church in Harlan, with Rev. Bob Hoefler celebrating the 11:00 AM service. Interment was held at St. Joseph�s Cemetery in Earling, with Kevin Rolf, Craig Foxhoven, Rick Herbst, Tom Fielder, Dave Noonan, and Dean Herbst serving as casket bearers.
