Carol R. Musich

Carol Rose Musich was born on June 28, 1955 to Walter and Mary Ellen (Leinen) Reisz in Portsmouth, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth and graduated from Harlan High School with the Class of 1973.
On August 10 of that same year, Carol was united in marriage to Randy Musich at St. Mary�s Catholic Church in Portsmouth. They became parents to four children: Stacie, Sherry, Sarah, and Nicholas.
Carol enjoyed cooking and baking and she would show you she loved you by feeding you. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She also enjoyed taking care of her flowers and making new friends. She never knew a stranger.
Carol died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, June 1, 2013 having attained the age of fifty-seven years, eleven months, and four days. She was preceded in death by her father.
Carol is survived by her husband Randy Musich of Harlan, Iowa; daughters Stacie Baldwin of Des Moines, Iowa, Sherry Musich and Sarah and her husband Carl Martin; son Nicholas Musich all of Harlan; three grandchildren with number four on the way; mother Mary Ellen Reisz of Portsmouth, Iowa; sisters Joan and her husband Keith Potter of Harlan and Peg Patten of Storm Lake, Iowa; brothers Phil Reisz of Portsmouth and John Reisz and his wife Pat of Bellevue, Nebraska; other family members and many friends.
The 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. John Frost on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at St. Michael�s Catholic Church in Harlan, Iowa. Music was provided by Kate Kohorst and Maryalyce Dotzler. Serving as casket bearers were Carl Martin, Nick Musich, Keith Potter, John Reisz, Phil Reisz, Terry Musich, Rod Musich, and Larry Buttry. Interment was held at the Harlan Cemetery.
