Carol Tremayne, daughter of John and Janice (Gardner) Turner was born September 20, 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended elementary school in Persia, Iowa then went to school in Shelby-Tennant and Harlan Community for some time before graduating from Nishna Valley High School in Hastings, Iowa with the class of 1982.
Carol was united in marriage to Dan Tremayne for a short time. One son, Michael was born to the union.
Carol worked as an aide at the Country Care Center for several years. She then attended IWCC and received one year of Medical Assistance training. She worked in Missouri Valley for a short period before retiring due to a disability.
Carol made her home in Elk Horn with her sister then moved to Harlan. She enjoyed spending her time coloring velvet posters, other craft activities and working on word searches and puzzles.
Carol died on Friday, May 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska attaining the age of fifty-three years, seven months and twenty-nine days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings David Turner, Jane Riggle and John Turner.
She is survived by her son Michael Tremayne of Harlan, Iowa; siblings Chuck Turner and his wife Robbin of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Sue Boruff and her boyfriend George Brittian of Harlan, Iowa; Tim Turner of Harlan, Iowa; other family members and many friends.
