In describing Carolyn, faith and family were the most important things in her life, with her faith shaping everything she did. Carolyn was baptized in the Catholic faith and was a very devout Christian.
Her husband George was her rock and they enjoyed traveling 49 of the 50 states and having the opportunity to fulfill a lifetime dream and take a trip to see the mountains of Switzerland.
She was gifted with artistic abilities and passed the talent to her oldest son Mike. They spent hours creating together at the kitchen table.
In her 40's, she became very interested in nutrition and read everything she could on the subject. She even ran a health store out of her home for a number of years.
For 24 years Carolyn and George split time as “snowbirds” enjoying all the friendships cherished both in Harlan and Florida.
Carolyn was a member of the St. Michael’s Parish, a member of the Saint Michael’s Guild, was involved in the Red Hat Society and was the queen of throwing Christmas parties for her husband and his sales staff. She absolutely loved baking cookies with her granddaughters, and enjoyed playing bridge and other games especially marbles on the board made by her father.
