Charlotte Jean Frank, daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Cory) Moore, was born on June 20, 1933 in Coon Rapids, Iowa. She was baptized at Coon Rapids Annunciation Church and later confirmed at St. Ann’s Church in Vail, Iowa and grew up attending the Coon Rapids Community Schools.
On November 11, 1950, Charlotte was united in marriage to Harold Joseph Frank at the Coon Rapids Annunciation Church. Four children were born to this union: Linda, Larry, Teresa and Traci. Harold and Charlotte eventually made their home in Harlan, Iowa where she was a longtime employee and eventual manager of the Harlan Pizza Hut. She instilled an excellent work ethic in her children and grandchildren as many of them have gone on to work and manage this same Pizza Hut.
Charlotte was always a strong willed, independent and opinionated woman. She always opened her home to her children’s friends and always invited them to eat or stay whenever they needed. By far her favorite pastime was playing Bingo and taking bus trips to Sloan, Iowa with friends to play even more Bingo.
Spending time with family meant the world to Charlotte. She was always up for a game of cards or just sitting down and for a visit. She was a very proud grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Charlotte died on May 27, 2019 at the Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa having attained the age of eighty-five years, eleven months and seven days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold; brothers: Larry and Frank Moore; sister-in-law Joyce Moore and her son-in-law, David Williams.
Survivors include her children: Linda and her husband Gene Wageman of Hancock, Iowa: Larry Frank of Phoenix, Arizona; Teresa and her husband Dennis Rozenboom of Harvey, Iowa and Traci and her husband Mike Wilwerding of Harlan; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sister Sandra and her husband Patrick Luft of Altoona, Iowa; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
