**The family of Clyde requests that attendees of the visitation and or service wear Iowa Hawkeye or Dallas Cowboy apparel in honor of Clyde**
Clyde Theodore Terlisner, son of the late Leo Frank Terlisner and June Elizabeth (Hupp) Terlisner, was born December 9, 1967. Clyde entered eternal rest at home with family by his side on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the age of 56.
Clyde attended school in Coon Rapids, IA where he was proud of setting a new school record in wrestling. He also enjoyed playing football. Clyde graduated from the Denison high school in Denison, IA in 1987.
Clyde, a combat veteran, joined the Navy after high school, living some of his best years in life. Stationed at Whidbey Island in Washington State, Clyde proudly served three tours overseas on the U.S.S. Ranger in the Persian Gulf.
Clyde loved life, always happy with sparkling eyes and a huge smile. He loved playing practical jokes on his work family and helping anyone he met. Clyde enjoyed being outdoors the most, fishing, camping, kayaking, hiking, simply just getting lost in nature. He loved to grill and enjoyed cooking. Clyde was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan and an even bigger Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed the solitude of being home with his dogs.
Clyde will be remembered and loved forever by his wife Christina, their children, and eight grandchildren. He was also deeply loved and will be missed by all of his siblings, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other extended family and numerous friends.
Clyde was also well respected and loved by his brothers of Attack Squadron 145 Swordsman of Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island, Washington State. In the words of his brother, Craig Lotto, “Fair winds and following seas shipmate. Clyde, you’re relieved of duty. We have the watch. Godspeed. May peace be with you.”
