Connie Ann Moeller, daughter of Lawrence and Virginia (Larsen) Rasmussen, was born March 12, 1946 in Harlan, Iowa. She graduated from the Elk Horn Kimballton High School in 1964.
On March 26, 1966, Connie was united in marriage to Daryle Moeller, her high school sweet heart, at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church. They were blessed with two children, Devin and Darcey.
Connie worked for Bostrom Photography Studio in Atlantic and then went to work for Stanley Home Products while raising their two children. After that, she served as Postmaster in Marne for twenty years until she retired in 1997. She was a homemaker her entire life.
Connie was a life long member of the Elk Horn Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Marne Community Club and was an original member of the Red Hat Society in Elk Horn. Connie enjoyed playing Bunko and was one of the first members of the Elk Horn Club. She loved to shop and would go to garage sales and flea markets often. As Daryle would go to watch NASCAR races, Connie would go shopping. She loved to play the penny slot machines. Connie was frugal with her spending, but very generous in her giving to others. Connie was a very positive person and never complained about anything. She especially loved her grandkids and attending their activities. Connie and Daryle loved to eat at the restaurant, El Rodeo, in Des Moines and also enjoyed traveling in their motor home to Florida over the winters.
Connie passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, Iowa, having attained the age of seventy-one years and twenty days. She was preceded in death by her parents.
