Connie Sue Schneider

Connie Sue Schneider was born to Edwin and Bernadine (Stein) Martens on July 29, 1950 in Manning, Iowa. She was raised in Persia, Iowa and graduated from Tri-Center High School in 1969. After highschool, she attended cosmetology school in Council Bluffs.
Connie found the love of her life when she met Jerome “Buzz” Schneider. They were united in marriage on October 18, 1969 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia, Iowa. To this union, two children were born, Traci and Brian. After getting married, Connie opened up her own beauty shop in their home in Westphalia, Iowa. She later worked for CDS in Harlan, then later at Little Flower Haven, Elm Crest and then Dollar General until she retired in December of 2021.
In May of 2022, Connie and Buzz moved to Harlan. Connie enjoyed playing cards with her sisters, music, reading, books, cross word puzzles, word finds, loved animals, traveling and spending time with her sisters.
Connie passed away peacefully at her home in Harlan, Iowa on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 attaining the age of 73 years, 10 months, and 13 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernadine and Edwin Martens.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome “Buzz” Schneider of Harlan, IA; children, Traci (Dave) Buck of Elkhorn, NE, Brian (LeAnn) Schneider of Council Bluffs, IA; 5 grandchildren;1 great-grandchild; siblings, Barb Pieper of Neola, IA,Bill Martens of Omaha, NE, Madge (Don) Bargenquast of Neola, IA, Jolene Wisner of Omaha, NE, Margy (Jim) Klindt of Atlantic, IA, Jerry Martens of Council Bluffs, IA, Darold (Joyce) Martens of Neola, IA, Pam Gilbert of Tonganoxie, KS, Phil Martens of Persia, IA; other family members and friends.
