Cynthia Pedersen

Cynthia (Sievers) Pedersen, daughter of Clarence “Lee” and A. Marilyn Sievers, was born on November 8, 1949 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut, Iowa.
She graduated from Walnut High School with the class of 1967. She loved listening to Elvis and Reba. On November 7, 1969, Cynthia was united in marriage to Haeven Hegner Pedersen, Sr at Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut, Iowa. To this union two children were born: Tamara and Chris.
Cynthia loved to cook and bake; mastering the German fugen. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Haeven, throughout his journeys as a semi truck driver. Having multiple cancers there was no doubt that her strength and passion to see life got her through the tough days. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, she couldn’t hardly get enough of them.
Cynthia died surrounded by her loving family at her home Thursday, February 22, 2018, attaining the age of sixty eight years, three months, and fourteen days. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Haeven Pedersen, Sr.
She has left to cherish her memory, her children, Tamara (Matthew) Routh of Altoona, Iowa; Chris Pedersen of Urbandale, Iowa; sisters Carol (Douglas) Dimig of Atlantic, Iowa; Janet (Scott) Haddock of Easton, Maryland; Nancy (Gary) Harmstead of Palm Coast, Florida; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other family members and friends.
