Dane Purcell

Dane Markes Purcell was born to Helen (Ross) and Mark Purcell on November 11, 1978 in Omaha, Nebraska. While in high school, Dane followed his passion of music by joining a Christian based band, Faith Sound, sharing music throughout the Midwest. From a young age, Dane was a hard worker. After he graduated from Denison High School in 1997, he worked with his father doing repair work at retail stores across the United States.
Dane became a father of six due to special circumstances. Dane felt a special connection to each of them like they were his own. Anytime he was out hunting or fishing it was a special time for Dane. These were some of his favorite hobbies. Dane had a unique appreciation for the outdoors and he loved sharing that with his family. Dane found the love of his life when he met Jackie Bryan. They were married at Willow Lake in Woodbine, Iowa on October 29, 2021.
Dane passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 attaining the age of 43 years and 10 months.
He is survived by his wife Jackie Purcell of Dunlap, IA; children: Cassondra (Jessy) Thielen of Earling, IA; Marcus (Chasta) Morgan of Harlan, IA; Rose Strong of Colorado; Julia Jepsen of Harlan, IA; Jade Barnes of North Bend, IA; Marie Barnes of Omaha, NE; 11 grandchildren; parents: Mark Purcell and Helen Purcell both of Harlan, IA; siblings Julia (Timothy) Free of Shelby, IA; Evonne “Evi” (John) Chamberlain of Portland, OR; Bree (Brian) Bowers of Harlan, IA.
