David Arthur Kohl
April 27, 1957 — August 4, 2022
David Arthur Kohl, son of William and Rosemarie (Miner) Kohl, was born on April 27, 1957 in Harlan, Iowa. He was a member of the Living Church of God in Omaha and attended grade school and high school in Woodbine, graduating with the class of 1975. On June 6, 1981, David was united in marriage to Tami Petersen in Kimballton, Iowa. To this union two sons were born: Josh and Justin.
David spent most of his working life as a self-employed siding contractor, he did this for over 25 years. He later became a truck driver and driving for various companies over the years. He was a devoted member of the Minden Volunteer Fire Department, holding every office before retiring after 23 years. He adored his two grandchildren and being on his Harley motorcycle.
On Thursday, August 4, 2022, David passed away at his home having attained the age of 65 years, 3 months and 8 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Tami Kohl of Minden, Iowa; sons Josh (Kelsey) Kohl of Minden, Iowa; Justin Kohl of Minden, Iowa; 2 grandchildren: Sawyer and Landon; siblings Marthann (Dan) Fuhs of Defiance, Iowa; Don Kohl of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Mike Kohl of Woodbine, Iowa; Karen (Steve) Sutley of Lincoln City, Oregon; Alisa (Bubba) Jones of Texas; nieces and nephews; other family and many friends.
