Debbie Jeanne Bruck

Debra Jeanne Bruck, daughter of Dennis and Peggy (Berguist) Portrey was born on December 30, 1968 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was baptized at the Church of Christ in Carroll, Iowa. While growing up she enjoyed playing basketball, going to the pool, and treating herself with candy from the Kwik Shop. Debbie was smart and schoolwork was easy for her, it became effortless for her. She graduated from Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa, with the class of 1987. She attended Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs.
On December 4, 2017, she was united in marriage to Randy Bruck in South Dakota. Debbie worked at Farmland in Denison, Iowa for many years. She had an impeccable sense of style and loved decorating her home. She loved watching scary movies, shopping for purses, shoes, and coats. She had a love for animals, especially for her cats and goats.
Debbie will be remembered for being for a good wife, a good friend to many, having a beautiful smile, and being a “tough cookie” when she needed to be. She had a big heart and was a beautiful person.
Debbie died at her home in Manilla on Saturday, November 26, 2022, attaining the age of fifty-three years, ten months, and twenty-seven days. She was preceded in death by her mother Peggy Portrey and infant daughter Carissa.
She is survived by her husband Randy Bruck of Manilla, Iowa; stepsons Joshua (Nicole) Bruck of North Platte, Nebraska; Jesse (Janell) Bruck of Lewiston, Idaho; Jacob (Heather) Bruck of Harlan, Iowa; 8 step grandchildren; father Dennis Portrey of Omaha, Nebraska; brothers Raymond (Mel) Portrey of Seligman, Missouri; Randy (Paula) Portrey of Council Bluffs, Iowa; other family members and many friends.
