Delores Ann Holihan, daughter of Alfred and Elsie (Busskohl) Stehr, was born on March 21, 1936, in Boyer, Iowa. She attended the Deloit school all the way from grade school through high school in Deloit, graduating with the class of 1954. On March 25, 1956, Delores was united in marriage to Richard Holihan, at the First United Methodist Church in Denison, Iowa. Delores and Richard were blessed with two children, Vincent and Jody.
Delores was dedicated to her job at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, where she was a ward clerk for nearly 40 years. She retired shortly after the death of her husband Richard in 2014.
Delores enjoyed visiting with anyone over a cup of coffee. She enjoyed working on her house yard, where she had many flowers. Delores’s grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved always being there for them.
Delores passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison attaining the age of 85 years 11 months and 24 days.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her parents Alfred and Elsie Stehr.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Vincent (Patty) Holihan of Denison, Iowa and Jody (Tom) Wright of Oklahoma. Her grandchildren Justin Holihan of Des Moines, Iowa and Skylar Wright of Oklahoma; great-granddaughter Remy Holihan of Des Moines, Iowa; sister Bonnie (Jerry) Hill of Deloit, Iowa; and brother-in-law Mike Holihan of Arizona.
