Delphine Beth Shives, age 88, of Denison, Iowa, died Sunday afternoon, July 13, 2014, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Per Mrs. Shives wishes no services will be held at this time and, following cremation, she will be entrusted to her family. The Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison is in charge of arrangements. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mildred Foderberg Riddle, her husband, Harvey Earl “Mick” Shives, one brother, Darwin Riddle and one great-grandson, Cash Berner. Survivors include six children: Kathy Thompson and husband Larry of Harlan, Iowa; Gael Ladehoff of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mark Shives of Denison, Iowa; Brian Shives and wife Terri of Denison, Iowa; Leah North and husband Dan of Charter Oak, Iowa; and Corrine Henkelman and husband Kevin of Aurora, Colorado; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother: Donald Riddle and wife Joan of Cheyenne, Wyoming; three sisters-in-law: Donna Riddle of Boone, Iowa; June Baer of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Gloa Shives of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
