Docia Ann Linde the daughter of William Chambers and Matilda McConnell Chambers was born on October 1, 1928 in Harlan, Iowa. She attended school at Jackson #3 and graduated for HCS in 1946.
Docia worked as a secretary for White & White Law office then got married to Art Linde November 7, 1948. They farmed at Botna 3 years and then moved to a farm east of Harlan and farmed for 26 years. They then moved to town. To this union of marriage they were blessed with four children, Mary Ann, Bill, Bob and Jim.
Docia died at the Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa on January 12, 2022 attaining the age of 93 years, 3 months and 11 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Art, a daughter-in-law Kristi Linde; a grandson-in-law Mark Winker and grandson Reggie Neppl.
Docia is survived by her daughter Mary Ann (Rick) Neppl of Charter Oak; sons Bill (Jean) Linde of Glidden; Bob (Kim) Linde of Glidden; and Jim Linde of Glidden; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild with one the way and 3 step great-great grandchildren.
