Donlinna K. Ellis

Donlinna Kay Ellis was born on August 9, 1947 to Donald and Odetta (Goodwin) Vetter in Stapleton, Nebraska. She graduated from high school with the Class of 1965.
One year later, on October 5, 1966, Donlinna was united in marriage to Tom Ellis in Stapleton. There were three children born to them: Michelle, Todd, and Michael.
Donlinna enjoyed being a housewife and raising her children. When they were older, she returned to the work force in retail sales in department stores. She retired in 2006.
Donlinna died on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She had attained the age of sixty-six years, nine months, and five days. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of nearly forty-eight years Tom Ellis of Harlan, Iowa; daughter Michelle and her husband Roger Thorne of Harlan, Iowa; sons Todd Ellis and his wife Lisa of Omaha, Nebraska and Michael Ellis and his wife Denise of Lincoln, Nebraska; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Connie Vetter of Minnesota, Carol and her husband Dale Black of Tryon, Nebraska, Sandy and her husband Wayne Pecjak of Arizona, Mary Lou Schaffer of Texas, and Deborah Gregerson of Colorado; brother Jim Vetter of Arizona; other family members and friends.
