Donna Lee Whiteing Borgeson

MEMORIAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9., 2015 at Pfannebecker Funeral Home, Denison, IowaINURNMENT: Crawford Heights Memory Garden, Denison, IowaVISITATION: 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service at Pfannebecker Funeral Home, Denison, Iowa   Donna Lee (Whiteing) Borgeson was born in Denison, Iowa, January 21, 1940, the daughter of Robert Andrew and Ruth Rollins Whiteing.  Her formative years were spent in Denison where she received her education graduating from high school with the class of 1958.  Following high school she moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she received her nursing degree and was employed there until her marriage. On February 9, 1964, Donna was united in marriage with Karl Albert Borgeson at Rippey, Iowa.  Their union was blessed with two children: David and Karen.  They made their home in Rippey until moving to Vail in the early 1970’s.  After moving to Vail Donna was employed in various nursing care facilities in the Carroll and Denison areas until her retirement.  She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Vail and their quilting circle.  In her leisure hours she enjoyed sewing, collecting antiques, woodworking and various crafts. Donna was found deceased in her home in Vail Tuesday, May 5, 2015.  At the time of her death she had been blessed with 75 years, 3 months and 14 days.  Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Whiteing. Those remaining to cherish her memory include two children: David Borgeson (Marilyn Wolfe) of Jefferson, Iowa and Karen Johnson (Scott) of Garwin, Iowa; three grandchildren: Cory Bald of Templeton, Iowa, and Jessica and Andrew Johnson of Garwin, Iowa; sister, Barbara Borkowski (Russell) of Climbing Hill, Iowa; brother, James Whiteing (Jolene) of Schleswig, Iowa; other relatives and friends.Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison, Iowa, with the Rev. Richard Francis officiating. Music for the service included two recorded vocal selections: “In the Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross”. Inurnment was at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison, Iowa. The Pfannebecker Funeral Home, www.pfannebecker.com , Denison, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements where a visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, May 9, 2015
