Dorothy Ann was born in Avoca, Iowa on April 8, 1950 to DeWayne and Lucy (Pierson) Butcher. Dorothy was the youngest of nine brothers and sisters - Eva, Albert, Edwin, Helen, John, Larry, Eugene and Linda.
She attended Avoca schools and graduated from Avoca High School with the class of 1968. She worked as a Cook at the Sportsman, Embers, and the Villager in Walnut. She also cleaned the United Church of Avoca.
She married Gary Sievers in 1978. She had two sons Gary Sievers Jr. And Donald Allen Butcher.
She enjoyed being with her kids and grandkids, gardening, flowers, baking, watching the squirrels and jamming to her oldies.
Dorothy passed away at her home in Centerville, Iowa on Sunday, August 7, 2016 having attained the age of sixty six years, three months and thirty days. She was preceded in death by her brother Albert; her parents DeWayne and Lucy; son Gary Sievers Jr. ; and ex-husband Gary Sievers,
