Douglas Lynn Manley, son of Fred and Judith (Hemminghaus) Manley, was born on August 17, 1970 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was baptized at the Hope Presbyterian Church in Omaha. He attended Millard South Schools and graduated in 1988. After graduation he attended Milford Trade School for Diesel Mechanics and obtained his Associates Degree. On March 23, 2018, Doug was united in marriage to Kaylee Beedle in Council Bluffs.
Doug spent a majority of his working career as a mechanic at McMullin Brothers Trucking in Omaha and Carter Lake. He retired after 25 years in September 2017. He then was hired at a company in Blair, Iowa in the food processing industry. Most recently he was working at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Blair. He loved to ride dirt bikes, bull riding, loved to hunt and fish, and boating and camping in South Dakota and Onawa. He lived life on the edge!
On Sunday, April 21, 2024, Doug passed away having attained the age of 53 years, 8 months and 4 days. Those surviving him are his wife Kaylee Manley of Oakland, IA; children Kristin Manley of Kansas City, MO; Wyatt Manley of Aberdeen, SD; Rose Manley of Aberdeen, SD; stepsons Derek (Kristen) Becker of Avoca, IA; Drew (Caitlyn) Becker of Avoca, IA; mother and father Judith and Fred Manley of Omaha, NE; 2 step-grandchildren: Bradie and Brody Becker; sisters Cindy (Jeff) Sharpe of Waterloo, NE; Vicki (Rodney) Workman of Omaha, NE; nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
