Eddie Everett Kluver
Eddie Everett Kluver, son of Everett and Phyllis (Workmeister) Kluver, was born on October 1, 1948 in Sac City, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith while growing up helping his father on the family farm. He attended school in Marathon and Kiron, Iowa before graduating from Denison High School with the class of 1966.
After high school, Eddie continued his passion of farming. In addition to crops, Eddie fed and raised both cattle and hogs. He always had a generous heart, giving to other people. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, the Saturday night seafood buffet at the casino, tractor pulls and spending Saturday at the Sale Barn in Denison. At one sale, he bought his mom a few tomatoes to can, over 50 lbs only to go back the next week and buy even more. He also loved driving his blue Chevy straight truck.
Everyone that knew him knew he had a heart of gold and always enjoyed life. He never worried about how bad things were, he just found the positives in every situation and person.
Eddie died on December 2, 2017 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa having attained the age of sixty-nine years, two months and one day. He was preceded in death by his father and siblings: Karen Irlbeck and twins, Donna Kluver and Donald “Butch Kluver.
He is survived by his son, Jacob Kluver of Kiron, Iowa; his mother, Phyllis Kluver of Kiron; his sisters: Bonnie and her husband Bill Harper of Denison, Iowa and Marcia Pope of Odebolt, Iowa; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
