Eugene Michael Bintz

Eugene Michael Bintz, son of Herbert Bryce and Jervaise Nettie (Grap) Bintz was born December 5, 1951 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was baptized at the Silver Creek Church and confirmed at the Minden United Church of Christ. He attended grade school and middle school at Minden Public in Minden, Iowa, then graduate from Oakland High School in Oakland, Iowa with the class of 1970. In high school, Eugene was a member of the Oakland FFA and Nednim Hustlers 4H club.
Eugene worked as a farm laborer and also sold seed corn. He was a Mason at Mt. Nebo Lodge #297 in Avoca, Iowa, active at the Minden Community Club, he also enjoyed bowling leagues in Minden and Oakland. Eugene loved polka music, cowboy shows, bingo, gardening and visiting with older folks. He spent over six years living at Oakland Manor in Oakland, Iowa.
Eugene died on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa attaining the age of sixty-five years, five months and twenty-one days. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brothers David W. Bintz of Hancock, Iowa; Jeffrey H. Bintz and his wife Jody of Council Bluffs, Iowa; John T. Bintz and his wife Susan of Bloomfield, New Mexico; nephew Joshua Bintz and his wife Christy and their daughter Olivia Grace of Treynor, Iowa; other family members and many friends.
