Faye K. Androy
January 5, 1955 — April 27, 2014
Faye Kathleen Androy was born on January 5, 1955 to J. Kenneth and Audrey (Rosenow) Carroll in Harlan, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca and remained a member her entire life. She attended the Walnut Schools and graduated with the Class of 1973. She then graduated from the Jennie Edmundson School of Nursing and became a registered nurse.
On November 10, 1979, Faye was united in marriage to Dean Androy in Avoca, Iowa. They loved to travel together, especially to the Caribbean. She always enjoyed watching the Nascar races and spending time with her family and friends. Faye was extremely family-oriented and they would go to the County and State Fairs together.
Faye was involved with the 4-H Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and was a member of the Eastern Star.
She worked at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa since she became a nurse over thirty-eight years ago, only cutting back when her health forced her to.
Faye died on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Alegent Health Missouri Valley Hospital having attained the age of fifty-nine years, three months, and twenty-two days. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Roger.
She will be missed by her husband of thirty-five years, Dean Androy of Missouri Valley, Iowa; her brothers and sisters: Charles Carroll and his wife Mary of Joplin, Missouri, Lyla and her husband Mark Schroder of Hancock, Iowa, Carla and her husband Kent Johnk of Hancock, Iowa, Wade Carroll and his wife Terri of Amarillo, Texas, Wray Carroll and his wife Ann of Avoca, Iowa, and Gayle Carroll of Avoca, Iowa; her mother-in-law Audrey Androy of Dunlap, Iowa; nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
