Gabriel "Gabe" Brown

Gabriel Richard Brown, “Gabe”, was born on November 9, 1983 to Richard and JoAnn (Knudsen) Brown of Harlan, Iowa. Gabe attended the Harlan Community School System and graduated with the Class of 2002. He went on to attend Iowa Western Community College.
When he finished with his schooling, he worked at Fox Machine Shop in Harlan. He loved to work with his hands and had a knack for graphic arts and welding. After moving to Hartford, Iowa, he began working at P & P Small Engines in Des Moines, Iowa.
Gabe liked to watch NASCAR and was an avid Kyle Busch fan. Other favorites were the Iowa Hawkeyes and the New Orleans Saints. He enjoyed golfing, playing soccer, video games, and playing with his three sons.
Gabe died on Friday, March 25, 2016 as a result of a car accident near Des Moines, Iowa. He had attained the age of thirty-two years, four months, and sixteen days. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Duane and Gloria Brown, and maternal grandfather, Charles Knudsen.
He is survived by his parents Rick and Jo Brown of Harlan, Iowa; children: Brayden and Talon Brown of Harlan, and Clayton Johnson of Carroll, Iowa; sister Ashley Brown of Harlan; his fianc Amanda Dawson and her children Cody Taylor, and Brooklyn and Dominic Dawson all of Hartford, Iowa; special family friend Dominic Haynes of Minden, Iowa; grandmother Wilda Knudsen of Liberal, Kansas; other family members and many friends.
