Gladys North

Gladys Ann North, daughter of Lacey and Mary (Slater) North, was born March 30, 1940 in Crawford County, Iowa. Gladys was baptized and confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Denison, Iowa. She graduated from Denison High School.
After graduation, she stayed home to help her dad on the family farm. Gladys enjoyed many things in her life but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Although she didn’t have children of her own, the most near and dear to her heart were her nieces and nephews. Gladys had a very contagious laugh, she always had a smile on her face.
Gladys died at Bethany Life Manor in Story City, Iowa on Thursday, April 5, 2018, attaining the age of seventy-eight years and six days. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Caroline Kay North, Lillian Celinda North, Georgia Marie Heckmann (Bibs) and Mary Jean Rasmussen; brother Lacey Craig North Jr.
She has left to cherish her memory, her sisters Marilyn (Albert) Glienke of Aureila, Iowa and Francis Brewster of Leavenworth, Kansas; 9 nephews; 3 nieces; many other family and friends.
