Irene Jepsen

Irene L. (Stover) Jepsen of Harlingen, Texas died Saturday, April 28,2007 in a Harlingen hospital, at the age of 90 years 11 months and 1 day. She was born May 27, 1916 in Barnes, Kansas to Emma and Charles Stover. The oldest of three children, she attended grade school near the family farm in Buck Grove, and graduated from Manilla High School in 1935. She married to Edward C. Jepsen on February 10, 1937 and resided in the area till 1964 when they moved to Harlingen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, her parents and two brothers, Thomas and Harry Stover. She is survived by daughter Sandra and husband Richard Wilson of Suffolk , VA., grandson Randolph Wilson of Norfolk, VA and granddaughter Melanie Cormier of Lynchburg, VA. Graveside memorial services and inurnment were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison, Iowa, with the Rev. Brian K. Rihner officiating. Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of arrangements.
