James Joseph Mercil

James (Jimmy Joe) Mercil, formally from Glasgow, Montana passed away at his home in Apopka, Florida on February 12, 2020. He was born in Glasgow, Montana on July 29, 1961 to Sandra and Robery Mercil. He was raised in Glasgow on the Blanchard Dairy Farm before he moved to Apopka, Florida where he got married to his wife Toni Mercil of 10 years.
He started a landscaping business in Apopka, and branched out to the Orlando, Florida area. He loved being outdoors, traveling, fishing, grilling and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his father and step-mother Robert and Kathy Mercil of Woodbury, Minnesota; 3 sisters Brenda Mercil of Denison, Iowa, Denise and husband Paul Motzko of Woodbury, Minnesota, Nicole and husband Todd Mercil Burns of Minnesota; 2 nephews, Keith Mainwaring Jr. Of Billings, Montana. Kevin Motzko of Woodbury, Minnesota; 3 nieces, Jennifer Adams of Denison, Iowa, Dana Mainwaring of Denison and Shannon Motzko of Woodbury, Minnesota. 4 great nieces and nephews; and 2 great great nieces and nephews. Several cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, his wife Toni, his mother Sandra, paternal grandparents Ralph and Gladys Mercil, maternal grandparents Rose and Willis Blanchard. Several aunts and uncles and 1 cousin.
There will be no service, he will be cremated and then buried in Glasgow, Montana at Highland Cemetery at a later date with close family.
