Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife Beatrice Margaret Thurston of Middleburg, Florida, three children: Lori Thurston of Baltimore, Maryland, Chester Thurston of Middleburg, Florida and Betty Thurston and Tim Helkenn of Schleswig, Iowa; 9 grandchildren including two special grandchildren Pam and Debbie Ferguson; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers: Raymond (Nancy) Thurston of Maquoketa, Iowa and Ed (Doris) Thurston of McMinnville, Oregon; three sisters: Joyce Stephens of West Monroe, Louisiana, Edith (Vernon) Sederquise of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Linda Woollen of Edmundton, Oklahoma; other relatives and friends.
