Janet F. Feser
February 28, 1947 — November 27, 2014
Janet Florine (Siepker) Feser was born on February 28, 1947 to Ed and Marie (Behrens) Siepker in Carroll, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton, Iowa. She attended Sacred Heart elementary school and graduated from Kuemper High School with the Class of 1965.
On January 27, 1968, she was united in marriage to Joseph Dwayne Feser at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Their union was blessed with four children: Bruce, Brad, Jeff, and Tracy. After their marriage, Dwayne and Janet lived on a farm near Buck Grove, Iowa, for two years. In 1969, they purchased a home in Defiance, Iowa, where they lived for twenty-two years until Dwayne’s death in 1991. Janet has remained there since then.
Janet was a stay at home mother until she began working at CDS in Harlan where she worked for over twenty years.
She enjoyed playing cards and Bunco, going to the casino, traveling with her Red Hatters group, and going to the movies with her ten grandchildren. She was a member of St. Peter’s Parish in Defiance.
Janet died on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the Manning Regional Healthcare Center having attained the age of sixty-seven years, eight months, and thirty days. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, father and mother-in-law Lavern and Beulah Feser, and brothers-in-law Brian and Lyle Feser.
She is survived by her children: Bruce Feser of Minden, Iowa, Brad Feser and his wife Deb of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jeff Feser and his wife Ann of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Tracy and her husband Steve Wilwerding of Harlan, Iowa; ten grandchildren; brother Wayne Siepker and his wife Audrey of Templeton, Iowa; sisters Linda and her husband Larry Klocke of Manning, Iowa and Joyce and her husband Mike Schmidt of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters-in-law Deanna and Larry Stessman of Defiance, Iowa, Carol and Larry Schimerowski of Earling, Iowa, and Linda and Jim Duncan of Manilla, Iowa; other family members and many friends.
