Janice Mae (Wilwerding) Larrison was born in Harlan, Iowa on August 7, 1939, to Isidor and Helen (Scheuring) Wilwerding. She was raised on the family farm outside of Earling, Iowa. She graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School in 1959. Jan lived in Omaha NE with friends after she graduated which is where she met her husband (Larry Larrison). They were married November 9, 1962, at St Joseph's Church in Earling IA.
She briefly lived in Harlan IA where they welcomed their first child, Mike Larrison in November of 1963. Then they moved to their family home in Defiance IA where she lived the rest of her life. In April of 1965 they welcomed their second child, Vicki (Larrison) Munn.
Jan was very active with her church, St. Peter's Parish, in Defiance IA. She spent most of her life as a mother and housewife. Her and Larry enjoyed great friendships and playing golf and get-togethers with other friends in Defiance. Jan enjoyed hosting family holidays at her home where many great memories were made.
After her children were grown, she started working at CDS where she made so many additional lifelong friends. She always had funny stories to tell about her work life. She retired after about 20 years with the company. She lived her remaining years going on adventures and playing cards with her close friends.
Jan was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents, her brothers Eddie, Bernie and Howie Wilwerding. Her sisters-in-law Grace Wilwerding, Alma (Fudd) Wilwerding, Alma Wilwerding as well as her grandson Adam Larrison. Those left to cherish her memory are her children Mike and Betsy Larrison of Bellevue NE, Vicki (Larrison) Munn of Defiance IA. Her sisters-in-law Nancy (Howie) Wilwerding and Mary (Bernie) Wilwerding, her 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren that she loved so much. There are also so many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was loved by so many.
