Janine Joye Keim, daughter of Edward and Darlyne (Thomssen) Dahleen, was born on October 27, 1952, at the home of her parents, Edward and Darlyne, in Battle Creek, Iowa. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith on January 5, 1953, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Battle Creek, Iowa. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa, on March 19, 1967. (Confirmation Verse, Isaiah 43:1 - I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.)
Janine started her schooling in Aspinwall, Iowa. She continued her education in Manilla, Iowa, before graduating from the Denison High School in Denison, Iowa, with the class of 1970. She furthered her education by attending DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa.
On June 28, 1975, Janine was united in marriage to Dale Keim at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. To this union, they were blessed with one child, David. After their marriage they made their home in Denison, Iowa.
Janine was a loving wife and mother. Janine enjoyed reading. She also had her favorite programs to watch which included Martha Stewart, Food Network and renovation shows. Janine also enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She was dedicated to her community and served on many Boards, including the Crawford County Memorial Hospital's Board. She had a very strong belief in CCMH.
Janine passed away on February 14, 2024, having attained the age of 71 years, 3 months and 18 days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Narlean Keim; brother-in-law, Merle Keim, brother-in-law, Raymond Pierce and sister-in-law, Lorie Jean Dahleen.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Keim of Denison, her son, David Keim of Omaha, Nebraska; her sister, Brenda Jensen and her husband, Curtis Jensen of Denison; her brothers, Bruce Dahleen of Denison and Troy Dahleen of Palmer, Nebraska; her sister-in-law, Marsha and her husband Henry Kolls of Denison, her sister-in law, Janna Pierce of Texas; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
