Jason "Jake" Lee Stinn

Jason Lee Stinn, “Jake”, was born on March 20, 1980 to Lee and Kathaleen (Vandenberg) Stinn in Harlan, Iowa. He attended Harlan Community School and graduated with the Class of 2001.
After high school, Jake started working at Western Engineering running a loader. Approximately six years later, he started working with his dad and uncle Bill Stinn in the spring and summer months and at Remmington Seeds in the fall and winter months. He also worked for a time at Variety Distributors in Harlan. He became a self-employed construction worker working with heavy equipment.
Jake had a big heart and was known for helping anyone, whether you were a close friend or an acquaintance, at anytime. He could fix just about anything that came his way and was very handy. He was a good artist and enjoyed drawing, painting, and woodworking.
Jake died at his home on Sunday, August 30, 2015 having attained the age of thirty-five years, five months, and ten days. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gale Vandenberg and paternal grandparents Wilfred and Arlene Stinn.
He is survived by his parents, Lee and Kathaleen Stinn of Harlan, Iowa; brothers Jerry Stinn of Nevada, Iowa and Tommy Stinn of Harlan, Iowa; niece Jada Stinn and nephew Zach Stinn both of Nevada, Iowa; maternal grandmother Mildred Vandenberg; other family members and many friends.
