Jason Russell Nielsen was born on September 23, 1972 to Phillip Nielsen and Lois (Lefeber) Goetzinger in Harlan, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan, Iowa. Jason attended schools in Harlan and graduated from Harlan Community High School with the Class of 1991.
He moved to Omaha to work in construction; building houses, decks, and roofs. You named it, he could build it! Jason later went on to own a construction company for many years. Unfortunately, he later had to give up his construction company because of his bad back. He then started working for the Northern National Pipeline as a pipeline inspector. With this job, he was able to travel and enjoy parts of the country he had not seen.
Jason loved fishing, hunting, working on race cars, and creating/cooking new recipes. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He adored his nieces and nephews. His boxer, Maggie, meant the world to him.
