MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Denison, IowaVISITATION: From 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Pfannebecker Funeral Home, Denison, IowaPARISH ROSARY: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pfannebecker Funeral HomePARISH VIGIL: 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Pfannebecker Funeral HomeBURIAL: St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Denison, Iowa Jeff “Red” Rogers was born at Jefferson, Iowa, March 18, 1959, the son of Robert Arthur and Bernice Margaret Hoelscher Rogers.  He resided in Denison, Iowa, where for the past 25 years he was at Petersen Manufacturing in Denison.He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison, a John Wayne freak and an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.Surrounded by his loving family Jeff died at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison, Iowa, late Monday, April 13, 2015.  At the time of his death he had been blessed with 56 years and 26 days.He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Rogers.Those remaining to cherish his memory include his mother, Bernice Rogers of Denison, Iowa; brothers: Steve Rogers and wife Cheryl of Denison, Iowa and Greg Rogers of Omaha, Nebraska; sister, Terri Hall and husband Dan of Omaha, Nebraska, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Denison, Iowa with Father Paul Kelly as Celebrant. Others participating in the mass included Servers: Jake and Josie Hoelscher; Lector, Ana Rogers; Gift Bearers: Ana and Josef Rogers and Eucharistic Minister, Dorothy Mendlik. Music for the mass included Emily Sailer singing “Ave Maria” and the St. Rose of Lima Adult Choir singing “Here I Am Lord”, “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”, and “Amazing Grace” with Jean Cornelius  as accompanist. Pallbearers were Ted Malone, Paul Schumacher, David McKee, Kevin Beermann, Rick Crampton, and Curtis Lingle. Interment was at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Denison, Iowa. Following the graveside rites and burial the family invited everyone to join them at the St. Rose Parish Center for fellowship and a luncheon provided by Staley’s Catering and the St. Rose of Lima Ladies Guild.
