Jeffery Otto Schueman, the son of James O. and Phyllis Myers Schueman, was born on March 13, 1958 in Harlan, Iowa, and was one of three children in the family. He attended school in Avoca and graduated with the Class of 1976. During high school he worked for Harry Wendt doing painting. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, Iowa.
Jeff was united in marriage to Dianne Emken on July 16, 1988 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca. Jeff was employed at his fathers Trucking Company; J & P Trucking and later Double 'S'; where he worked in the shop and also drove truck. He then went to work for Steve Emken Trucking as a mechanic. Jeff enjoyed bowling, sports, which included his love for the Cubs, the Chicago Bears and biking. He also loved spending time with his pets.
Jeff died on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at his home in Avoca having attained the age of forty-nine years, five months and thirteen days. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne; his father James O. Schueman; his brother James Schueman and his wife, Janee', all of Avoca, Iowa; his sister, Linda and her husband, Juan Cruz, of Greeley, Colorado; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca, Iowa with Pastor Dennis Reich as the clergy and Mr. Wayne Paulsen as the Eulogist. Serving as Honorary Casket Bearers were Steve Emken, Chris Cruz, Keith Schueman, Jessica Poppe, Matt Schueman and Janeen Schueman. Casket Bearers were Wayne Allen, Steve Pankonen, Dean Schueman, Dave Schueman, Ron Rehfeldt, Randy Mogensen, Jeff Paulsen and Brad Thornton. Interment was held in Graceland Cemetery, Avoca, Iowa.
