Jeffrey Alan Lansman

Jeffrey Alan Lansman, son of Robert and Norma (Mathiasen) Lansman, was born May 13, 1954 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was baptized at First United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church, both in Harlan, Iowa. He attended Harlan Community High School where he received his Iowa FFA degree, then attended Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
On December 18, 1976, Jeff was united in marriage to Sandra Kaye Linden at the Calvary Baptist Church in Walnut, Iowa. To this union four children were born: Angela, Kristofer, Matthew and Nicole.
Most of his life Jeff spent farming. He started his career on the family farm, then went to Maschoff’s Family Farms and most recently worked at Chipman Farms. Farming and pigs, were subjects Jeff often talked about with his usual farmer friends or with new people he would meet. Farming was his life until the end.
Jeff loved spending time with his family on family vacations, camping and fishing with his grandsons. He had many family pets throughout the years and had special memories of each one. He enjoyed NASCAR and going to dirt track races in the area. Jeff loved people, meeting new people and talking with people.
He died on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa, attaining the age of sixty-four years, two months, and five days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Angela and father-in-law Douglas Linden.
He has left to cherish his memory, his wife Sandra Lansman of Harlan, Iowa; children Kris Lansman of Harlan; Matt Lansman of Harlan; Nicole Lansman and her special friend Brent Soyer of Glidden, Iowa; grandson Emmett and Cooper Lansman of Harlan; sister Jayne and her husband Steve Boeck of Kansas City, Missouri; mother-in-law Ellen Linden of Harlan; nephews Robert Boeck and his wife Karen and children Katie and Bobby of St. Louis, Missouri; Brad Boeck of Shawnee, Kansas; other family members, and many friends.
