Joanne Park
July 7, 1948 — July 17, 2014
Joanne Carlile Park was born on July 7, 1948 at Davenport, Iowa to William and Gale (Malin) Carlile. She graduated from Bettendorf High School and attended Mid America Nazarene College. She graduated from Western Nebraska Community College.
She married Harold D. Park on July 4, 1971 at Bettendorf Nazarene Church. They made their home in the western Nebraska panhandle since 1980's.
In her life span, she and her husband pastored for over thirty years in the Nazarene Church. She also worked at Hardees for thirteen years and Wal-Mart for five years. She got a degree at WNCC for secretarial. She was a piano teacher to many and would volunteer at Alliance school being an accompanist. She loved and enjoyed God’s wonderful works of nature. She wanted to make sure people were going to make it to Heaven. She was loved by all and will be missed by everyone. She was a member of the ACT united Pentecostal Church, and TOPS club.
Joanne died on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the arms of her husband. She had attained the age of sixty-six years and ten days. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister LaVon Morris, and brother David Wilmes.
She is survived by her husband of forty-three years Harold Park, daughters Chrystal and her husband Travis Lovell and Heather and her husband Duane Goss; son David and his wife Vicky Park; ten grandchildren; brother Bill and his wife Marlene Carlile and sister Sharon and her husband Ralph Brandon.
