Jon Roger Moeller
August 17, 1940 — September 11, 2017
Jon Roger Moeller was born August 17, 1940 in Denison, Iowa to Herbert Adolph and Marguerite Kathleen Giblin Moeller. He was raised in Denison and graduated with the Class of 1959.
In October of 1961 Jon enlisted in the US Army and served his country for three years as an MP. This was the thing he was most proud of doing in his life. He then worked for several years for Farmland Foods and then later as a roofing foreman, lining up jobs and overseeing them, and at Johnson Motors, along with other jobs throughout his life.
Roger was the proud father of two sons: Brett and Ryan. He bragged about the good choices they made in their lives and what great sons they were. He was happy they were such good sons to their mother.
On September 11, 2017, Roger passed away at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital having attained the age of 77 years and 25 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Marguerite, and brother Barry Moeller, sister-in-law Barbara Moeller and brother-in-law Thomas Slattery.
Survivors include his two sons: Brett Moeller of Mesa, Arizona and Ryan Moeller of Texas; brothers: Neal Moeller and Darrell (Vera) Moeller, all of Denison; sister, Beverly Slattery of Sacramento, California; sister-in-law, Luann Moeller of Carroll; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
