Judith F Ahrenholtz, daughter of Wilford and Erma (Turner) Pedersen was born on November 25, 1942 in Harlan, Iowa. Judie attended Harlan High School and graduated in 1961.
On July 18, 1964, Judie was united in marriage to David Ahrenholtz at the First United Methodist Church in Harlan, Iowa. They became the parents of two children, Christine and Tony. Judie started her career in insurance at the age of 18 at Parker Insurance. She spent 50+ years in the industry and eventually owned her own agency. She retired in April of 2013. She loved her family and enjoyed following her children and grandchildren in all their activities. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed watching all sports especially the Hawkeyes and Chiefs and found joy in gardening and working in her yard. When Dave was alive they made many wonderful memories during their fishing trips to Canada.
Judie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harlan and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of PEO Chapter AP in Harlan.
She died on Saturday May 21, 2022, at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, Iowa having attained the age of seventy-nine years, five months and twenty-six days.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Ahrenholtz as well as her siblings Mary Lou Nakama, Donald Pedersen, Catherine (Cap) Fornstrom and Marvin (Butch) Pedersen.
Survivors include her children, Christine and her husband Tony Bowen of Stilwell, Kansas; Tony Ahrenholtz of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren Chance and Brooke; her sister Ruth Keres of Tampa, Florida; sisters-in-law Irma Pedersen and Marge Ahrenholtz of Harlan, Iowa; nieces and nephews and many friends.
